IslandWood Named Recipient of Nature's Path 2009 ENVIROKIDZ Giving Back Award
$10,000 Will Support IslandWood School Overnight Program
Bainbridge Island, Washington – IslandWood, a leading outdoor learning center in the Pacific Northwest has announced it was named a recipient of Nature’s Path Organic Foods’ 2009 EnviroKidz Giving Back Award. The Giving Back Program donates money to non-profit organizations that support endangered species, habitat conservation and environmental education for kids.
“We are thrilled to be recognized with the 2009 EnviroKidz Giving Back Award,” said Ben Klasky, IslandWood’s Executive Director. “The funds will help us continue to provide important outdoor education experiences for students from low-income communities throughout the Puget Sound region.”
