Volunteers play an integral role in the everyday functioning of IslandWood.

Our volunteers make a positive difference by helping to promote IslandWood's mission "to provide exceptional learning experiences and to inspire lifelong environmental and community stewardship."

Great Hall Fireplace

Our Great Hall fireplace is made up of rocks representing the Olympic Mountains. The Olympics are composed of ocean-bottom rocks that were scraped off the oceanic plate as it slid beneath Western Washington.
