Lodging

IslandWood's comfortable yet rustic accommodations offer four separate lodges with capacity from 53 single occupancy to 200 shared occupancy, all with private baths and 100% cotton linens.

Each lodge features a warm and comfortable great room with fireplace. Data ports are located in every lodge room along with wireless connection throughout the buildings. There are plenty of cozy spaces to meet - inside and outside the lodge, and each lodge features a meadow for informal recreation as a team.

With our concern for our environmental and natural resources, our campus features sustainable elements using an Earth-Smart design in each of the lodges with solar panels for hot water, concrete and cork flooring, recycled wood and radiant floor heat, surrounded by the beauty and nature of the Great Northwest!

Lodge Rooms

Three of our lodges comfortably sleep one to three adults - one in each of the lower beds, and one in the queen-sized, Murphy style bed. 100% cotton linens are provided.  Two additional upper bunks are available if needed.

Each of the bunk beds has its own low energy reading light as well as a window looking out into the woods - features requested by children in the early design stages of the lodges.

Our Newest Lodge, the Ichthyology Inn, offers 16 rooms, each with two queen sized lower beds and full size upper bunks.  Like our other lodges, the rooms include high quality linens, individual reading lights, windows above each bed and private baths.

Each lodge has a Great Room - perfect for relaxing, reading, chatting by the fire, or playing games. Remove your shoes and enjoy the heated flooring made from recycled wood.  Unique to each Great Room you'll find a fireplace constructed with material representative of the geology of the Pacific Northwest.

Culinary Philosophy

Dining at IslandWood is an exceptional experience. Our innovative chefs show case local, organic, and sustainably sourced ingredients in exquisite meals that reflect both the current season and the natural bounty of our unique Northwest location.

From IslandWood’s founding, the kitchen is a focal point of our sustainable efforts.  Our unwavering commitment to authenticity is in every dish, whether a hearty breakfast served to children in our school programs or a six-course meal offered at a wine-makers dinner.

Along with authenticity, quality is equally important.  Nearly all of our produce as well as our dairy products and eggs are organic.  Whenever possible, meats are free range and contain no antibiotics or growth hormones and we serve seasonally available fruits and vegetables from local farms.

These earth-friendly guidelines not only insure the most natural and flavorful ingredients on your plate, but also help us promote our commitment to sustainable, environmentally sound agricultural practices.

Because we take such pride in our culinary service, IslandWood will fulfill all of your food and beverage needs.  With the exception of a formal cake, outside catering is not permitted. Vegetarian and vegan entrées are available upon request, as is an exclusively vegetarian or vegan menu.

Hosted BarIslandWood is proud to offer regional wine and beer to complement your event.  For your convenience, we offer either a hosted or a cash bar service.  We also have a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages, such as natural sodas, sparkling water and cider, specialty coffee and Numi teas.  All beverages must be provided by IslandWood.  We can work with you to select wines that meet your needs.
